Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon their arrival and seat them promptly.
- Present menus, explain daily specials, and offer informed recommendations.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special requests and dietary restrictions are clearly communicated to the kitchen.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently and gracefully, adhering to service standards.
- Monitor tables for guest satisfaction, refilling drinks, clearing empty dishes, and responding to requests promptly.
- Process guest payments accurately using the POS system and handle cash and card transactions responsibly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other waitstaff to ensure seamless service.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up and breaking down dining areas.
- Handle guest complaints or issues professionally and escalate to management when necessary.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as waitstaff or server in a busy restaurant setting (minimum 1 year).
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
