We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shoe Cobbler/Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of shoemaking techniques, including pattern making, cutting, stitching, lasting, finishing, and repair. You will be responsible for crafting and repairing various types of footwear, ensuring that all work meets our high standards of quality and craftsmanship. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work efficiently and independently, while also contributing positively to our team environment. You will also interact directly with customers, taking orders, providing estimates, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The position requires a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a passion for delivering exceptional results. Previous experience in a similar role is essential, with demonstrable skills in working with various materials, including leather, synthetic materials, and soles. Key Responsibilities
- Crafting new shoes from start to finish, including pattern making, cutting, stitching, lasting, and finishing.
- Repairing damaged shoes, including replacing heels, soles, and stitching.
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Managing inventory of materials and supplies.
- Interacting with customers, taking orders, and providing estimates.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality workmanship and timely service.
- Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Assisting with other tasks as needed.
