The ideal candidate will be adept at both rough carpentry (framing, structural work) and fine finish carpentry (cabinetry, millwork, trim, custom installations), capable of executing complex cuts, intricate joinery, and flawless installations. You will work collaboratively with project managers, interior designers, architects, and other skilled tradespeople, contributing your insights and problem-solving abilities to ensure seamless project delivery that exceeds client expectations. Key Responsibilities
- Read and accurately interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to determine project requirements and dimensions.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join wood, laminates, and other materials using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures such as walls, ceilings, partitions, doors, window frames, staircases, and custom furniture.
- Install interior finishing elements including cabinetry, shelving, baseboards, crown molding, and other decorative millwork.
- Operate hand and power tools, as well as woodworking machinery, safely and efficiently, ensuring their proper maintenance.
- Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures, performing repairs as necessary.
- Strictly adhere to all safety regulations, building codes, and company policies on every project.
- Collaborate effectively with other tradespeople, project managers, and interior designers to ensure seamless project execution.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Troubleshoot and resolve on-site carpentry challenges with practical and effective solutions.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Carpenter with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in using a wide range of electrical and manual carpentry tools (e.g., saws, hammers, drills, routers, sanders).
- Exceptional ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and architectural drawings.
- Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques, methods of installation, and construction processes.
- Strong attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.
- Good physical condition, stamina, and manual dexterity.
- Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Solid understanding of basic geometry and mathematical calculations for measurements and cuts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Vocational training, technical certification, or completed apprenticeship in carpentry.
- Prior experience working on high-end residential, hospitality, or commercial projects in the UAE.
- In-depth knowledge of various wood types, composite materials, and their specific properties and applications.
- Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Valid UAE driving license.
