Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles (vans, cars, small trucks) for transport of goods, documents, or personnel.
- Plan and execute efficient delivery and pick-up routes using GPS and local knowledge.
- Ensure timely delivery and collection of items, adhering to scheduled deadlines.
- Perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, reporting any defects or maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain accurate logbooks, delivery records, and other required documentation, including proof of delivery.
- Handle and secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with dispatch, clients, and team members.
- Maintain the cleanliness and good operating condition of the company vehicle at all times.
- Assist with loading and unloading of items as required, ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (minimum Class E endorsement).
- Clean driving record with no major accidents or traffic violations.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a professional driver, preferably in logistics or delivery.
- Excellent knowledge of Abuja road networks and surrounding areas.
- Ability to operate vehicles safely and efficiently in various weather and traffic conditions.
- Strong time management, organizational, and route planning skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
- Physical ability to lift and carry packages (within reasonable limits and adhering to safety guidelines).
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge (e.g., checking oil, water, tire pressure, minor fault identification).
- Proficiency in using GPS navigation systems and smartphone applications.
