Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior scientists and researchers in the setup and execution of various laboratory experiments and procedures.
- Prepare reagents, solutions, and media according to established protocols and precise measurements.
- Operate and maintain standard laboratory equipment, including centrifuges, pH meters, spectrophotometers, and microscopes.
- Collect, organize, and accurately record experimental data, observations, and results in laboratory notebooks and digital systems.
- Perform routine laboratory tasks such as glassware cleaning, sterilization, and proper waste disposal in compliance with safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate inventory of laboratory supplies, chemicals, and reagents, initiating reorder requests as needed to prevent stockouts.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations and standard operating procedures (SOPs) at all times.
- Conduct basic data analysis and compile preliminary findings for review by supervisory staff.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and perform preventative maintenance to ensure continuous operation.
- Participate actively in team meetings, scientific discussions, and ongoing training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Required Skills
- Strong foundational knowledge of general laboratory techniques and safety protocols.
- Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations relevant to solution preparation, dilutions, and data analysis.
