Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages (e.g., espresso, lattes, cappuccinos) according to company recipes and quality standards.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment, ensuring they are always clean and in good working order.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, handling transactions using a POS system.
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing recommendations and excellent service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including work surfaces, seating areas, and restrooms.
- Manage inventory of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies, notifying management of low stock.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Assist with other café duties as needed, including light food preparation or serving other beverages.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar customer service role, preferably in a café setting.
- Demonstrable knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and equipment operation.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Basic math skills for handling cash and transactions.
