Key Responsibilities
- Erect, alter, and dismantle scaffolding structures in accordance with design specifications, industry standards, and relevant safety regulations (e.g., TG20:13, SG4:15).
- Conduct thorough inspections of scaffolding before, during, and after use, identifying and rectifying any defects or hazards.
- Work safely and efficiently as part of a team, communicating effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and other trades.
- Handle scaffolding materials responsibly, ensuring proper storage, maintenance, and transportation.
- Adhere strictly to all site-specific health and safety policies, risk assessments, and method statements.
- Interpret and work from scaffolding drawings and technical specifications accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring a safe environment for all personnel.
Required Skills
- Valid CISRS Scaffolder or Advanced Scaffolder Card.
- Proven experience in erecting various types of scaffolding systems (e.g., system, tube and fitting).
- Thorough understanding of relevant health and safety legislation and best practices.
- Ability to work confidently and safely at height and in confined spaces.
- Strong physical fitness and manual dexterity.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Holder of an Advanced CISRS Scaffolder Card.
- Full UK driving licence with access to own transport.
- Additional relevant certifications (e.g., Confined Space, Working at Height, First Aid).
- Experience working in industrial environments, such as power plants, chemical sites, or maritime settings.
