Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload delivery vehicles with parcels and packages, ensuring secure arrangement.
- Safely operate delivery vehicles (motorcycles, vans) to transport goods to various destinations.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries within designated areas.
- Verify accurate parcel contents against delivery manifests.
- Obtain signatures and provide proof of delivery.
- Handle cash payments and process electronic transactions as required.
- Maintain delivery logs and records accurately.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety guidelines.
- Perform routine vehicle checks and report any maintenance needs.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class A or B for motorcycles/vans)
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with Lagos routes, especially Victoria Island and surrounding areas
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift and carry packages of varying weights
- Effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- A keen eye for detail and accuracy in handling parcels and paperwork
