Key Responsibilities
- Prepare samples and reagents accurately for various experiments and analyses.
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment (e.g., centrifuges, spectrophotometers, pH meters, microscopes) according to established protocols.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and experiments under the supervision of senior researchers.
- Accurately record, manage, and analyze experimental data, ensuring data integrity and traceability.
- Assist in the development and optimization of new experimental procedures and protocols.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory working environment, adhering strictly to safety guidelines and quality control standards.
- Manage laboratory inventory, including ordering and stocking supplies, and ensuring proper storage of chemicals and samples.
- Collaborate effectively with team members on research projects, sharing findings and contributing to discussions.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of lab equipment and report complex issues to senior staff.
- Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, summaries, and presentations as required.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related scientific field.
- Strong foundational knowledge of general laboratory techniques and safety procedures.
- Proficiency in basic data entry and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
