Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures in residential and commercial settings.
- Diagnose plumbing issues accurately and provide effective, lasting solutions.
- Perform routine inspections of plumbing systems to ensure optimal functionality and prevent future problems.
- Repair or replace leaky pipes, clogged drains, broken toilets, and other plumbing emergencies.
- Install and service water heaters, boilers, and other heating systems (where qualified).
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, building codes, and industry best practices.
- Provide clear explanations and professional advice to clients regarding plumbing issues and solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and team members as required on larger projects.
- Manage and maintain company-provided tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.
Required Skills
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating or equivalent recognized qualification.
- Proven experience in all aspects of plumbing, including fault finding, repair, and installation.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and regulations (Water Regulations, Building Regulations).
- Excellent practical skills with a high degree of precision and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Full UK driving license with a clean record.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Gas Safe registration (desirable, but not essential for pure plumbing roles).
- Experience with renewable energy heating systems.
- First Aid certification.
- Experience working in a customer-facing role.
- Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
