Key Responsibilities
- Design and lead engaging, informative, and entertaining tours of Nyanya, Abuja, and its environs.
- Share comprehensive knowledge of local history, culture, attractions, and points of interest.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of all tour participants throughout the duration of the tour.
- Manage group dynamics effectively, addressing questions and concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
- Provide recommendations for local dining, shopping, and entertainment as requested.
- Adapt tour content and pace to suit the interests and physical abilities of diverse groups.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance, representing the highest standards of hospitality.
- Handle unexpected situations or emergencies calmly and efficiently.
- Collect feedback from tour participants to continuously improve tour experiences.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Tour Guide, preferably in Abuja or a similar urban setting.
- In-depth knowledge of Nyanya, Abuja's history, culture, landmarks, and current events.
- Exceptional verbal communication and storytelling skills in English.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and build rapport with diverse groups.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to navigate the city efficiently and independently.
- Valid driver's license (if tour requires driving).
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
