Career.supersecrets is seeking an Entry-Level Lab Technician to join our Research & Development team in Bwari, Abuja. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process samples for various laboratory experiments.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including calibration, cleaning, and routine troubleshooting.
- Perform basic scientific experiments and tests under supervision, accurately recording observations and results.
- Maintain meticulous records of experimental data, procedures, and inventory using laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and notebooks.
- Adhere strictly to all laboratory safety regulations, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Assist in the procurement, inventory, and proper storage of laboratory reagents, chemicals, and supplies.
- Support senior researchers and scientists in data collection and preliminary analysis.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the laboratory workspace.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing discussions related to project progress.
Required Skills
- Strong foundational knowledge in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in performing laboratory tasks.
- Proficiency in basic laboratory techniques (e.g., pipetting, sterile technique, solution preparation).
- Ability to follow complex instructions and protocols precisely.
