Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor water treatment plant equipment, including pumps, motors, valves, filters, and chemical feed systems.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and analyses on water samples to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Adjust chemical dosages (e.g., coagulants, disinfectants, pH adjusters) based on water quality parameters and operational needs.
- Monitor SCADA systems and other instrumentation to control plant processes and identify operational issues.
- Conduct preventative maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs on plant machinery and equipment.
- Record operational data, meter readings, chemical inventories, and maintenance activities accurately.
- Respond to alarms, operational failures, and emergencies, implementing corrective actions swiftly and safely.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and policies.
- Collaborate with senior operators and maintenance teams to optimize plant performance and resolve complex issues.
