Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus clearly, providing detailed information on daily specials, ingredients, and preparation methods.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately, utilizing POS systems, and relaying information efficiently to kitchen staff.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally, adhering to established service standards and presentation guidelines.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, anticipating needs and addressing any concerns politely and efficiently.
- Provide seamless room service delivery, ensuring orders are correct, delivered on time, and presented impeccably in guest rooms.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including tables, chairs, service stations, and assigned sections.
- Handle guest payments accurately, process transactions, and reconcile bills at the end of shifts.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen, bar, and other service staff to ensure a smooth and coordinated dining experience.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down dining areas for various meal services and special events.
- Handle guest feedback and complaints with professionalism, escalating issues to management when necessary.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as waitstaff or in a similar customer service role, preferably within a hotel or upscale restaurant.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong command of English.
