Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory experiments and tests under supervision, following established protocols.
- Prepare and analyze samples using various laboratory equipment and instruments, including spectrophotometers, pH meters, and centrifuges.
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and organized records of all experiments, results, and observations in laboratory notebooks and digital systems.
- Calibrate and perform basic maintenance on laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and quality control standards.
- Assist in the preparation of reagents, media, and solutions with precise measurements and sterile techniques.
- Organize and manage laboratory supplies, chemicals, and inventory, ensuring proper storage and timely replenishment.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, orderly, and sterile laboratory workspace.
- Assist senior researchers with data collection, entry, and preliminary analysis.
- Actively participate in team meetings, contributing to project discussions and sharing insights.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and report significant issues to senior staff.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a closely related scientific field.
- Basic theoretical and practical understanding of fundamental laboratory techniques and safety procedures.
- Exceptional proficiency in data recording, meticulous attention to detail, and accuracy in all tasks.
- Proven ability to follow complex written and verbal instructions precisely and independently.
