Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor all aspects of supply chain operations, including warehousing, transportation, and last-mile delivery activities.
- Plan, track, and manage the movement of products from the warehouse to customers, ensuring timely, accurate, and damage-free deliveries.
- Manage and maintain optimal inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and reconcile any discrepancies to ensure precise inventory records.
- Optimize delivery routes and schedules using logistical software to minimize costs, improve efficiency, and meet delivery deadlines.
- Collaborate effectively with internal departments (sales, customer service) and external vendors (drivers, suppliers, freight forwarders) to ensure smooth and coordinated operations.
- Prepare, verify, and process all necessary shipping documentation, invoices, delivery notes, and other regulatory paperwork.
- Address and resolve any issues or complaints related to logistics, shipments, or delivery promptly and professionally, minimizing disruptions.
- Implement and rigorously enforce health, safety, and quality standards within all warehouse and delivery operations to ensure a secure working environment and quality service.
- Utilize advanced logistics software and tools (e.g., Warehouse Management Systems, Transport Management Systems) to track shipments, manage inventory, and generate comprehensive reports.
- Analyze logistical data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and propose innovative, data-driven solutions.
- Stay updated with industry best practices, technological advancements, and regulatory changes in logistics, transportation, and international trade to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in logistics, supply chain management, or warehouse operations.
- Proven experience in coordinating delivery operations and managing transport logistics.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles, warehousing best practices, and distribution processes.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., WMS, TMS) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel in particular for data analysis).
- Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and multitask effectively.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and a proactive approach to operational challenges.
- Ability to work effectively and maintain composure in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and demanding environment.
- In-depth knowledge of local and national transportation regulations and customs procedures (where applicable).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
