Key Responsibilities
- Assist in setting up and conducting experiments and scientific tests under the supervision of senior researchers.
- Prepare reagents, solutions, and media accurately according to established protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain meticulous and comprehensive laboratory records, logbooks, and experiment documentation.
- Operate, calibrate, and perform routine maintenance on basic laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, pH meters, balances, and pipettes.
- Execute general lab duties including glassware washing, sterilization of equipment, and proper disposal of chemical and biological waste.
- Monitor inventory levels of laboratory supplies, chemicals, and reagents, assisting with procurement requests when necessary.
- Adhere strictly to all laboratory safety guidelines, quality control procedures, and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Assist with basic data collection, organization, and preliminary analysis, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, communicating experimental observations, challenges, and results clearly and concisely.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a closely related scientific discipline.
- Demonstrated basic understanding of laboratory safety protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Proficiency in using standard laboratory equipment, including pipettes, scales, and pH meters.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proven ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely and reliably.
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for data entry, documentation, and basic reporting.
