Career.supersecrets is actively recruiting on behalf of a prominent client in Abuja, FCT, seeking a dedicated Driver to manage critical logistics and delivery operations. This vital role involves operating a company-provided vehicle to transport goods, documents, and personnel across Abuja and occasionally to nearby states.

Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate company vehicles for the transportation of goods, documents, and personnel within Abuja and designated inter-state routes.
- Plan and execute optimal delivery routes, considering traffic conditions and time constraints to ensure timely arrivals and departures.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents encountered.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance needs or mechanical issues promptly.
- Ensure the cleanliness and presentability of the company vehicle at all times.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Assist with loading and unloading items, ensuring they are securely stored and protected during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and internal staff regarding delivery status, delays, or issues.
- Handle sensitive documents and valuable goods with utmost care and confidentiality.
- Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients at delivery points.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class E minimum)
- Clean driving record with no history of major accidents or violations
- Proven experience as a professional driver in logistics or delivery services
- Excellent knowledge of Abuja road networks and traffic patterns
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and troubleshooting
- High level of integrity, reliability, and punctuality
- Physical fitness to assist with loading/unloading and prolonged sitting/driving
Preferred Qualifications
- SSCE/GCE/NECO or equivalent educational qualification
- Defensive driving certification or advanced driver training
- Experience with GPS navigation systems and route optimization apps
- Familiarity with various types of delivery vehicles (vans, trucks)
- Ability to speak multiple local languages (e.g., Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo) in addition to English.
