Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain commercial washing machines, dryers, and ironing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Sort and categorize laundry items (linens, towels, uniforms, guest garments) according to type, color, and required washing procedures.
- Load, unload, and fold laundry with attention to detail, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Monitor laundry supplies and report inventory needs to the supervisor.
- Inspect all items for stains, damage, and wear, taking appropriate action for repair or replacement.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laundry area, including equipment and surrounding workspaces.
- Handle guest dry cleaning and special requests professionally and efficiently.
- Assist the Housekeeping team with other duties as required to support overall hotel operations.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
Required Skills
- Proven experience operating commercial laundry equipment.
- Knowledge of various fabric types and appropriate washing/drying methods.
