Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory tasks including sample preparation, solution formulation, and equipment sterilization.
- Assist senior researchers in conducting experiments, collecting data, and recording observations accurately.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, pH meters, microscopes, and spectrophotometers.
- Monitor and manage laboratory supplies and reagents, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage.
- Adhere strictly to all laboratory safety protocols, quality control standards, and good laboratory practices (GLP).
- Maintain detailed and organized laboratory notebooks and electronic records of experiments and results.
- Prepare and process biological or chemical samples for analysis following established protocols.
- Participate in general lab upkeep, including cleaning workstations and disposing of waste safely and correctly.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and project progression.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a related scientific field.
- Foundational understanding of laboratory techniques and safety procedures.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to accurately record and analyze data.
- Proficiency in using basic laboratory equipment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer literacy (MS Office Suite).
