Key Responsibilities
- **Warehouse Operations Management:** Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods. Implement and enforce procedures to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and safety in all warehouse functions, including material handling and space utilization.
- **Transportation & Delivery Coordination:** Plan, coordinate, and schedule all incoming and outgoing shipments. Liaise effectively with carriers, suppliers, and customers to ensure adherence to agreed delivery schedules and resolve any potential delays or issues proactively.
- **Route Optimization & Cost Efficiency:** Continuously analyze and optimize delivery routes and methods to minimize transportation costs, reduce transit times, and enhance overall service quality and customer satisfaction.
- **Inventory Control & Accuracy:** Manage and maintain robust inventory control systems. Conduct regular physical stock counts, reconcile inventory discrepancies, and ensure accurate inventory data reflecting real-time stock levels.
- **Compliance & Safety Assurance:** Ensure strict compliance with all relevant local and national logistics regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies. Implement and monitor safety protocols within the warehouse and during delivery operations.
- **Team Leadership & Development:** Supervise, mentor, and provide ongoing training to warehouse and delivery staff. Foster a positive work environment that emphasizes teamwork, productivity, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
- **Performance Analysis & Reporting:** Prepare detailed logistics reports, analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery times, inventory accuracy, and shipping costs. Identify trends, pinpoint areas for improvement, and implement data-driven corrective actions.
- **Vendor & Stakeholder Management:** Negotiate contracts and foster strong working relationships with logistics service providers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless operational flow and best-value services.
- **Problem Resolution:** Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges, shipment issues, or customer complaints related to logistics efficiently and professionally, minimizing disruptions.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in logistics coordination, warehouse management, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles, warehouse operations, and inventory control techniques.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement effective solutions.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
