Career.supersecrets is seeking dedicated and highly skilled Bus Drivers to join our team, supporting various operational needs within the vibrant community of Ruwais, Abu Dhabi. As a Bus Driver, you will be instrumental in providing safe, reliable, and comfortable transportation services for personnel, residents, and visitors across designated routes. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a bus along designated routes, adhering strictly to schedules and traffic laws in Ruwais and surrounding areas.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus, reporting any mechanical issues, damage, or safety concerns promptly to maintenance.
- Ensure the cleanliness and presentable condition of the bus interior and exterior at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service to all passengers, assisting with boarding, disembarking, and general inquiries in a polite and helpful manner.
- Manage passenger conduct effectively, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for everyone on board.
- Collect and manage fares or verify passes/IDs as required by specific routes or company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, passenger counts, and any incidents or delays.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols, including emergency response plans.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and other team members regarding route status, delays, or unforeseen circumstances.
- Remain vigilant for road hazards, adverse weather conditions, and other potential risks, adjusting driving as necessary to ensure safety.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development sessions to enhance driving skills and knowledge of safety regulations.
- Handle unexpected situations, such as breakdowns or medical emergencies, calmly and efficiently, following established protocols.
Required Skills
- Valid UAE Heavy Vehicle Driving License (Category 6/Heavy Bus License)
- Minimum 2-3 years of proven professional bus driving experience, preferably in the UAE
- Clean driving record with no major traffic violations
- Thorough knowledge of UAE traffic laws, rules, and regulations
- Strong understanding of defensive driving techniques and road safety practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English (Arabic proficiency is a plus)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as operational needs dictate
- Basic mechanical aptitude for conducting routine vehicle checks and minor troubleshooting
- Punctual, reliable, and a strong sense of responsibility
- Customer service-oriented approach with a patient and calm demeanor
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience driving buses in industrial or complex urban environments like Ruwais
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Knowledge of multiple languages relevant to the local population (e.g., Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, Tagalog)
- Familiarity with GPS systems and route navigation software
- Certificate in professional driving or transport operations
