Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Monitor work progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
- Enforce strict health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Manage and inspect the quality of workmanship and materials, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client expectations.
- Conduct daily site briefings and toolbox talks, communicating objectives, safety reminders, and project updates to the construction team.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Oversee the scheduling and delivery of materials, equipment, and resources to optimize workflow.
- Resolve on-site operational issues, conflicts, and challenges in a timely and effective manner.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, progress reports, and documentation of all site activities.
- Train and mentor junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skill development.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Construction Supervisor or similar role in civil or building construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations (OSHA, local standards).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Building Technology, or a related field.
