Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory tests and experiments under the guidance of senior scientists.
- Prepare samples, reagents, and media according to established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Accurately record, manage, and report experimental data, observations, and results.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of experimental apparatus.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment, strictly adhering to all safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels of lab supplies and assist with ordering and stocking.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting of equipment and experimental procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, sharing insights and supporting collective goals.
- Participate in laboratory meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Required Skills
- OND/HND/B.Sc. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related scientific field.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory techniques and safety procedures.
- Proficiency in data recording and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work independently when required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
