Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Workplace Diversity and Inclusion Advisor to champion our diversity and inclusion initiatives and help foster a culture of belonging. This key role will involve developing and implementing strategies to promote diversity and inclusion across all levels of the organization. You will work closely with various departments, conduct regular training sessions, analyze diversity data, and collaborate on inclusive policies and procedures. This role demands exceptional communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills, as well as a deep understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) best practices in the Nigerian context. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record of success in promoting diversity and inclusion within an organization. The role requires a proactive individual capable of identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive diversity and inclusion strategy aligned with the organization's values and goals.
- Conduct regular diversity and inclusion training programs for employees at all levels.
- Collaborate with HR and other departments to integrate diversity and inclusion considerations into all HR processes.
- Analyze diversity data to identify trends, challenges, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with employee resource groups and diversity champions within the organization.
- Stay current on best practices in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Create and implement policies and procedures that promote an inclusive workplace environment.
- Research and recommend initiatives to increase diversity at all levels of the organization.
- Measure the effectiveness of diversity and inclusion initiatives and report findings to senior leadership.
- Create and deliver engaging presentations on diversity and inclusion topics.
Required Skills
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Deep understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) principles and best practices.
- Experience developing and implementing diversity and inclusion programs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a diversity and inclusion role.
- Experience working in a financial institution (preferred but not required).
- Certification in Diversity and Inclusion (e.g., SHRM-CP/SCP).
