Job Description
Etermax Nigeria is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cybersecurity Threat Intelligence Analyst to join our growing team. As a Threat Intelligence Analyst, you will play a crucial role in protecting our company’s assets and data by identifying, analyzing, and mitigating emerging cyber threats. This position requires a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat actors, and attack vectors. You’ll work closely with other security teams to proactively identify vulnerabilities and develop strategies to reduce risk. This is a hands-on role demanding strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Your expertise will contribute directly to the overall security posture of the company, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a demonstrable track record of success in threat intelligence gathering, analysis, and reporting. You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, dealing with a constantly evolving threat landscape. Key Responsibilities
- Conducting in-depth analysis of threat intelligence feeds and security alerts.
- Identifying, assessing, and prioritizing potential threats to the organization.
- Developing and maintaining threat models and risk assessments.
- Producing high-quality threat intelligence reports for various stakeholders.
- Collaborating with security teams to implement security controls and remediation plans.
- Staying abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends and threats.
- Contributing to the development of security awareness training programs.
- Participating in incident response activities as needed.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat actors, and attack vectors.
- Experience with various threat intelligence platforms and tools.
- Proficiency in analyzing security logs and network traffic.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Experience with vulnerability management and penetration testing (preferred).
- Knowledge of various security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., GCIH, GCIA, CEH).
- 3+ years of experience in a threat intelligence role.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
