Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostic tests on vehicle electrical systems to identify faults and malfunctions using advanced tools.
- Repair, replace, and install defective wiring, alternators, starter motors, batteries, lights, sensors, and other electrical components.
- Install and service various electrical systems and accessories, including GPS tracking, audio-visual entertainment systems, and security devices.
- Interpret complex electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately troubleshoot intricate issues.
- Conduct thorough routine maintenance checks and preventative servicing on electrical systems to minimize breakdowns and extend vehicle lifespan.
- Ensure all repairs and installations strictly comply with established safety standards, industry regulations, and company operational policies.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all electrical repairs, maintenance performed, parts used, and diagnostic findings.
- Collaborate effectively with other technicians, mechanics, and workshop staff to ensure timely and efficient vehicle turnaround.
- Stay continuously updated with the latest advancements in automotive electrical technology, diagnostic methods, and repair techniques through ongoing learning.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing complex automotive electrical and electronic systems.
- Strong foundational knowledge of vehicle wiring, circuits, schematics, and Electronic Control Units (ECUs).
- Extensive experience with various automotive diagnostic tools and equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, scan tools).
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and collaboratively as a valuable team member.
