Key Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to deliver goods and packages to designated locations within Garki, Abuja, and surrounding areas.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and driving regulations.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues or defects promptly.
- Load and unload packages carefully, ensuring their security and integrity during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including proof of delivery, mileage logs, and fuel consumption.
- Provide excellent customer service, interacting with clients professionally and courteously during deliveries and pickups.
- Handle cash and electronic payment transactions accurately when required.
- Plan efficient delivery routes to meet schedules and optimize fuel consumption.
- Keep the company vehicle clean and tidy at all times.
- Communicate effectively with the logistics team regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class E or G)
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience, preferably in logistics or delivery.
- Excellent knowledge of Abuja road networks and routes, especially within Garki.
- Strong understanding and adherence to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections and minor maintenance checks.
- Good physical condition and ability to lift and carry packages (up to 25kg).
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity, punctuality, and reliability.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent.
- Previous experience with a courier or logistics company.
