Key Responsibilities
- Provide full-time, attentive care for two children (aged 4 and 7), including daily routines like waking, bathing, dressing, and bedtime.
- Plan and engage children in age-appropriate educational activities, creative play, and outdoor excursions.
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the children, accommodating any dietary requirements or preferences.
- Assist with homework and school projects, fostering a positive learning environment.
- Ensure the children's safety and well-being at all times, both at home and during outings.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment for the children, including their bedrooms, play areas, and laundry.
- Manage school pickups and drop-offs, as well as transport to extracurricular activities as required.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents regarding the children's progress, activities, and any concerns.
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and manage children's medication as per parents' instructions.
- Organize and oversee playdates and social interactions for the children.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience as a nanny or in a similar childcare role.
- Excellent understanding of child development stages and age-appropriate activities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and parents.
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a genuine love for children.
- Proven ability to maintain a safe and stimulating environment for children.
- Reliable, punctual, and highly organized with strong time management skills.
- Basic first aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or certification in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a live-in nanny role.
- Proficiency in an additional language (e.g., French, Mandarin).
- Valid Nigerian driver's license with a clean driving record.
