As a Trolley Collector, you play a crucial role in ensuring our customers have a seamless and convenient shopping experience from the moment they arrive until they leave. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining the availability of shopping trolleys across our premises, including the parking area, store entrance, and internal aisles. This role is highly visible and vital to the smooth operation of our hypermarket, directly contributing to customer satisfaction and store efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Proactively collect shopping trolleys from various collection points across the hypermarket premises, including parking lots, store entrances, and internal sections.
- Organize and return trolleys to designated bays and customer service areas, ensuring they are readily available for shoppers.
- Inspect trolleys for cleanliness and damage, reporting any maintenance issues to the appropriate department for timely repair.
- Assist customers with trolley-related needs, such as retrieving trolleys or guiding them to collection points, always with a helpful and friendly demeanor.
- Maintain a safe and organized environment in trolley collection areas and parking lots, ensuring clear pathways for customers and vehicles.
- Work effectively in all weather conditions, ensuring continuous trolley availability.
- Adhere to all company safety and operational policies and procedures.
- Support other store operations as needed, contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Required Skills
- Excellent physical stamina and strength, with the ability to walk, push, and pull heavy loads for extended periods.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, humidity).
- High level of reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Good observational skills to identify and retrieve trolleys efficiently.
- Basic understanding of English for simple communication with colleagues and customers.
- A positive attitude and a customer service-oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
Preferred Qualifications
