Job Description
Andela is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile Security Engineer to join our growing team in Yaba, Lagos. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of securing mobile applications and infrastructure, a deep understanding of mobile security threats and vulnerabilities, and a passion for protecting user data. This role requires a strong understanding of the Android and iOS ecosystems, and the ability to work collaboratively with other engineers to implement and maintain robust security measures. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our mobile applications and services, protecting millions of users from cyber threats. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on the security posture of a rapidly growing technology company. You will work alongside experienced security professionals and collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization. You’ll be directly involved in all aspects of the mobile security lifecycle, from requirements gathering and threat modeling to penetration testing and incident response.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct security assessments and penetration testing of mobile applications.
- Develop and implement secure coding practices for mobile applications.
- Analyze mobile application vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies.
- Design and implement mobile application security architectures.
- Develop and maintain mobile security policies and procedures.
- Investigate and respond to mobile security incidents.
- Collaborate with other engineers to integrate security measures into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Stay up-to-date on the latest mobile security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Participate in security awareness training and education initiatives.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of mobile application security principles and best practices.
- Experience with Android and iOS security architectures.
- Proficiency in mobile application penetration testing techniques.
- Experience with static and dynamic code analysis tools.
- Experience with mobile security frameworks and SDKs.
- Experience with secure coding practices.
- Experience with mobile threat intelligence and incident response.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as OSCP, CISSP, or SANS GIAC.
- Experience with cloud security technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with mobile DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Experience with security automation tools.
