Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled carpenters with the cutting, shaping, and installation of various wooden structures and fixtures.
- Learn to accurately measure, mark, and prepare materials using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Follow blueprints, schematics, and verbal instructions meticulously to ensure precise execution of tasks.
- Help construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering strictly to all company safety protocols and construction regulations.
- Care for and properly store tools and equipment, performing basic maintenance as required.
- Load and unload materials, assisting with the transport of tools and supplies around the construction site.
- Actively participate in all training sessions and demonstrations provided by experienced carpenters and site supervisors.
- Support the team in general site duties as needed, demonstrating a willingness to learn and contribute.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of common carpentry hand and power tools (or a strong willingness to learn).
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor, lift heavy materials, and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability.
- High level of safety consciousness and adherence to safety regulations.
- Excellent team player with good communication skills.
- Eagerness and enthusiasm to learn a skilled trade.
