Divers Down UAE is seeking a dynamic and dedicated PADI Certified Diving Instructor to join our growing team in the picturesque coastal city of Khor Fakkan, Sharjah. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct PADI diving courses from Discover Scuba Diving up to Divemaster level, adhering strictly to PADI standards and safety protocols.
- Lead guided fun dives for certified divers, showcasing the best of Khor Fakkan's dive sites.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students and certified divers during in-water and on-boat activities.
- Maintain all diving equipment, ensuring it is in excellent working condition and reporting any maintenance needs.
- Provide exceptional customer service, assisting with bookings, inquiries, and equipment selection.
- Actively promote dive trips, courses, and retail products to enhance customer experience and drive sales.
- Conduct thorough pre-dive briefings and post-dive debriefings, emphasizing safety, dive site information, and marine conservation.
- Participate in dive center operational duties, including boat preparation, tank filling, and general tidiness.
- Assist with emergency procedures and provide first aid/CPR when necessary.
- Contribute to marine conservation efforts and educate divers on responsible diving practices.
Required Skills
- Current PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) rating or higher.
- Valid medical statement for diving, signed by a physician within the last 12 months.
- Current EFR (Emergency First Response) Instructor certification or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of active teaching experience as a PADI Instructor.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); Arabic proficiency is a significant advantage.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Strong swimming abilities and physical fitness.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in dive planning, risk management, and emergency procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT) or IDC Staff Instructor rating.
- Multiple PADI Specialty Instructor ratings (e.g., Nitrox, Wreck, Deep, Photography).
- Experience working in the Middle East and familiarity with local diving conditions.
- Boat handling and basic marine mechanical skills.
- Underwater photography/videography skills.
- Additional language proficiencies.
