Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack items from warehouse stock according to order specifications, utilizing scanning equipment or manual methods.
- Verify product quantities and ensure items are free from damage or defects before packing.
- Prepare orders for shipment by labelling, wrapping, and staging them in designated areas.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently, using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks or hand trucks.
- Assist with inventory management, including counting stock, performing cycle counts, and reporting discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times, adhering to all company safety protocols and procedures.
- Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) in a safe and responsible manner.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure daily targets and operational goals are met.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and understand written instructions and follow verbal directions.
- Basic mathematical skills for counting and verifying items.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move packages up to 25kg repeatedly throughout a shift.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Eagerness and ability to learn new tasks and adapt to changing priorities quickly.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment (even if minimal).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory tracking software.
- Valid forklift operator certification (an advantage, but not required for entry-level).
- Knowledge of general warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
