Aramex is seeking an experienced, proactive, and highly dynamic Warehouse Operations Manager to lead our state-of-the-art logistics operations in Dubai. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and oversee all daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order picking, packing, and dispatch of goods, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize warehouse layout, maximize space utilization, and enhance material flow efficiency.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of warehouse staff, including supervisors, team leaders, and operators, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure strict compliance with all local and international health, safety, environmental regulations, and company policies, conducting regular safety audits and training.
- Implement and manage robust inventory control systems to ensure accuracy, minimize discrepancies, prevent stock-outs, and reduce waste.
- Utilize advanced Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track inventory, optimize operational processes, and generate comprehensive performance reports.
- Collaborate effectively with procurement, transportation, and customer service teams to streamline end-to-end supply chain operations and resolve logistical issues.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), implementing corrective actions and innovative solutions to achieve and exceed operational targets.
- Conduct regular audits of warehouse processes and procedures, identifying areas for improvement and implementing global best practices.
- Manage operational budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising service quality or operational efficiency.
- Lead and champion continuous improvement projects, embracing Lean methodologies, automation, and new technologies where appropriate to enhance productivity and quality.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience as a Warehouse Operations Manager or in a similar leadership role within a large-scale, fast-paced logistics or distribution environment.
- Demonstrated strong leadership, team management, and motivational skills, with the proven ability to develop and empower staff.
- Expert-level proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and advanced inventory control software.
- In-depth understanding of logistics, supply chain management principles, and distribution processes.
- Proven ability to implement Lean principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and drive significant process improvements.
- Strong analytical skills with the capability to interpret complex data, generate actionable reports, and inform strategic decision-making.
- Exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and superior problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and external partners.
- Thorough knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations pertinent to warehouse operations in the UAE.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt) or other recognized process improvement methodologies.
- Experience with the integration and management of automated warehouse technologies and robotics.
- Fluency in Arabic in addition to English, to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills with third-party logistics providers.
