Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team in Rumuola, Port Harcourt. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing our manufacturing processes, ensuring high-quality product output, and minimizing production costs. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing principles, process improvement methodologies, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and engineering, to identify and implement process improvements, enhancing efficiency and productivity across the entire production line. This is a hands-on position requiring excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role will involve continuous improvement projects, data analysis, troubleshooting, and implementing innovative solutions to optimize manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Analyze production data to identify areas for optimization and cost reduction.
  • Troubleshoot production problems and implement corrective actions.
  • Design and implement new manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve production goals.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation.
  • Conduct regular process audits and identify areas for improvement.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma).
  • Maintain and update process flow diagrams and other relevant documentation.

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing principles and processes
  • Proficiency in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma)
  • Experience with data analysis and statistical process control (SPC)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD)
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working in the beverage industry is a plus.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
