Fidelity Bank Plc is actively seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to join our dynamic Corporate Banking team in Lawanson, Surulere. This pivotal role involves managing and growing a portfolio of high-value corporate clients, identifying new business opportunities, and fostering long-term, mutually beneficial relationships that align with our strategic objectives and contribute significantly to the bank’s bottom line. As a Key Account Manager, you will be instrumental in driving revenue growth, enhancing client satisfaction, and deepening our market penetration within the corporate segment across various industries. You will be expected to develop and implement comprehensive account plans, meticulously understanding each client’s financial ecosystem, business goals, and operational challenges. You will work closely with various internal stakeholders, including product development, risk management, credit analysis, and operations teams, to deliver tailored financial solutions ranging from working capital facilities, trade finance, treasury services, to more complex structured finance arrangements, all designed to meet the evolving and sophisticated needs of our corporate clients. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and expand market share within the assigned corporate client portfolio.
- Cultivate and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within client organizations.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through active prospecting, networking, and lead generation to acquire new corporate clients.
- Conduct comprehensive financial needs assessments for clients and recommend suitable banking products and services, including credit facilities, trade finance, treasury solutions, and digital banking platforms.
- Prepare and present compelling proposals, negotiate terms, and close sales in alignment with the bank's policies and risk appetite.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify emerging opportunities and threats.
- Collaborate effectively with internal departments (e.g., Credit, Risk, Operations, Product Development) to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal banking policies.
- Prepare regular sales forecasts, activity reports, and performance analyses for management review.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all client inquiries and resolve issues promptly and efficiently.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in corporate sales, key account management, or relationship management within the banking or financial services sector.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and growing client portfolios.
- Exceptional negotiation, persuasion, and presentation skills.
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of corporate banking products and services.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strategic thinking with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field.
