Ryearch Ltd is currently seeking a diligent and physically robust Construction Labourer to become a vital part of our dynamic team based in Plymouth, Devon. This full-time position offers a superb entry point into the bustling construction industry, providing the chance to contribute significantly to a diverse array of civil engineering and building projects throughout the South West. As a key member of our site team, you will be instrumental in supporting our experienced tradespeople – including bricklayers, carpenters, groundworkers, and plant operators – ensuring that all site operations run efficiently and safely. Your daily tasks will be varied and hands-on, encompassing everything from meticulous site preparation and maintaining a clean work environment to the safe loading and unloading of construction materials, assisting with formwork, concrete pouring, and general site upkeep. Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople (e.g., bricklayers, carpenters, groundworkers) with various tasks.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment safely.
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, rubbish, and hazardous materials.
- Dig trenches, compact earth, and assist with general groundwork as directed.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment on site.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies diligently.
- Perform general site clean-up and waste management duties.
- Assist with the erection and dismantling of temporary structures and scaffolding.
- Support with basic landscaping tasks on finished sites.
