Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and seat guests in a timely and professional manner, presenting menus and explaining daily specials.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders, offering recommendations and answering questions about menu items and ingredients.
- Serve food and beverages promptly, courteously, and accurately, ensuring proper presentation and temperature.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned dining sections, including clearing tables and resetting them for new guests.
- Anticipate guest needs throughout their dining experience and respond proactively to requests, ensuring a pleasant visit.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently using the restaurant's Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and empathy, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other service team members to ensure smooth and coordinated service delivery.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for guests and staff.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up dining areas, restocking service stations, and general cleaning tasks.
- Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of the menu, daily specials, promotional offers, and allergen information.
- Contribute to a positive team atmosphere, supporting colleagues and participating in regular training sessions.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment (minimum 6 months).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact pleasantly with diverse guests.
- Strong customer service orientation, demonstrating a friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a high-volume, dynamic setting.
- Basic mathematical skills for accurate order taking, bill calculation, and handling cash/card payments.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods during shifts.
