This pivotal role is essential for ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely transportation of our esteemed executives, staff, and vital company documents/parcels within Lagos and occasionally to other states. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and punctually transport executives, staff, and company materials to designated locations.
- Maintain the assigned company vehicle in excellent condition, including regular cleaning, routine checks (oil, water, brakes, tyres, etc.), and timely reporting of maintenance needs.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company driving policies, and safety regulations.
- Plan efficient routes to destinations, considering traffic conditions and time constraints, utilizing navigation tools effectively.
- Maintain accurate daily mileage logs, fuel consumption records, and trip details.
- Ensure the security and safety of passengers and company property during transit.
- Assist with loading and unloading of items as required, ensuring their safe delivery.
- Demonstrate discretion, professionalism, and courtesy at all times when interacting with passengers and the public.
- Be available for occasional extended hours or weekend shifts as operational needs demand.
- Undertake other ad-hoc duties related to transportation and logistics as assigned.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver’s License (Class B or higher)
- Minimum of 4 years professional driving experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Excellent knowledge of Lagos road networks and alternative routes.
- Strong understanding of vehicle mechanics for basic troubleshooting and maintenance checks.
- Impeccable driving record with no history of serious traffic violations.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and punctuality.
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Defensive Driving Certification.
- Basic First Aid and CPR certification.
- Experience with luxury or executive vehicle types.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route optimization apps.
- Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent.
