Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in residential buildings, ensuring compliance with architectural plans and electrical schematics.
- Execute new electrical wiring installations for residential projects, ranging from single-family homes to multi-unit dwellings, strictly adhering to local and national electrical codes (e.g., NEMKO standards where applicable) and industry best practices.
- Proactively troubleshoot and accurately diagnose complex electrical malfunctions using a variety of appropriate testing devices and diagnostic tools.
- Thoroughly inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to meticulously identify hazards, detect defects, and determine the precise need for adjustment, repair, or replacement.
- Skillfully repair or replace faulty wiring, conduits, electrical control apparatus, fixtures, and other critical electrical components.
- Efficiently connect wiring to circuit breakers, transformers, distribution panels, and other vital electrical system components.
- Install various electrical control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, circuit breaker panels, and lighting systems.
- Proficiently read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and detailed wiring diagrams to ensure accurate installations and repairs.
- Ensure all work performed adheres strictly to established safety protocols, company policies, and relevant regulatory requirements to prevent accidents and ensure long-term reliability.
- Provide excellent, clear, and professional customer service, effectively communicating with residents and property managers about work being performed, timelines, and solutions.
- Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date records of all maintenance activities, repairs, installations, and material usage.
- Adhere to project schedules, manage time effectively, and complete tasks efficiently and effectively to minimize disruption to residents.
Required Skills
- Proven track record and extensive experience as a qualified Electrician, with a strong emphasis on residential wiring and installation projects.
- In-depth and current knowledge of electrical systems, diverse wiring methods, and stringent electrical safety procedures.
- Comprehensive familiarity with local and national electrical codes and regulations pertinent to residential properties.
- High proficiency in utilizing a wide array of electrical tools, specialized equipment, and advanced testing devices.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and diagnostic skills to quickly identify and resolve electrical issues.
- Demonstrated ability to accurately read and interpret complex electrical blueprints, technical specifications, and wiring diagrams.
