Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the collection and aggregation of financial and operational data from various sources.
- Perform data entry, ensuring accuracy and completeness of records.
- Clean and organize data, identifying and resolving inconsistencies or errors.
- Generate basic reports and dashboards using Microsoft Excel and other internal tools.
- Support senior analysts in preparing presentations and data visualizations.
- Assist with data quality assurance initiatives and routine data audits.
- Contribute to the documentation of data processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with different departments to understand their data needs and provide support.
- Continuously learn and apply new data analysis techniques and tools under supervision.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, charts).
- Excellent numerical aptitude and a comfort working with figures.
- Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Kinyarwanda.
- A self-starter with a strong willingness to learn and adapt.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive financial data.
Preferred Qualifications
- A diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field (recently graduated candidates are encouraged).
- Basic understanding of database concepts or data management principles.
- Familiarity with financial terminology or experience in a financial institution (even if informal).
- Exposure to data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus, but not required.
