We are seeking a dedicated and professional Driver (General) to join our esteemed team at The Address Hotels + Resorts in Downtown Dubai. This pivotal role is essential in upholding our commitment to exceptional guest service and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of driving duties, including guest transfers, luggage transport, inter-hotel deliveries, and supporting various departmental needs. You will operate a range of company vehicles, ensuring safety, comfort, and punctuality for all passengers and cargo. This position demands a keen eye for detail, impeccable driving skills, and a strong understanding of Dubai’s road networks, particularly within and around Downtown Dubai. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport guests, staff, and goods to various destinations as required by management, adhering strictly to schedules and traffic regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles (e.g., fuel, oil, tire pressure, lights, brakes) to ensure they are in optimal working condition and report any issues promptly.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, both interior and exterior, fueling, and coordinate routine maintenance and servicing with the fleet management team.
- Assist guests with luggage loading and unloading, offering courteous, helpful, and prompt service with a smile.
- Adhere to all local traffic laws, regulations, and company safety policies, maintaining an impeccable driving record.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance in logbooks or digital systems.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with dispatch, management, and guests regarding schedules, delays, or any unforeseen circumstances.
- Represent The Address Hotels + Resorts with the utmost professionalism, discretion, and a positive attitude at all times, upholding our brand image.
- Perform other driving or related duties as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to supporting hotel operations.
Required Skills
- Valid UAE Driving License (Light Vehicle) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience as a professional driver, preferably in a hospitality or service-oriented environment.
- Excellent knowledge of Dubai's road network, especially Downtown Dubai, Sheikh Zayed Road, and surrounding areas.
- Strong command of English, both verbal and written, for effective communication with guests and colleagues.
- Exceptional time management, punctuality, and organizational skills to ensure timely arrivals and departures.
- Customer-service oriented with a professional, friendly, and discreet demeanor.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle checks and maintenance, and troubleshoot minor issues.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and traffic regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent education.
- Additional language proficiency (e.g., Arabic, Russian, Mandarin) to better serve our diverse clientele.
- Experience driving luxury vehicles and providing VIP transport services.
- Knowledge of local tourism attractions, popular routes, and cultural etiquette.
- First Aid and defensive driving certifications.
