Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and components in residential and commercial properties, including pipes, fixtures, drainage systems, and water heaters.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues accurately, utilizing various tools and techniques to identify the root cause of problems.
- Perform routine inspections of plumbing systems to prevent potential issues and ensure optimal functionality.
- Cut, thread, bend, and connect pipes of various materials (copper, PVC, PEX, galvanized steel) using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Install and repair water supply lines, waste disposal systems, and related appliances and fixtures.
- Ensure all plumbing work adheres to local building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Provide clear explanations of work to be performed, discuss options, and offer expert advice to clients.
- Manage and maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Handle emergency plumbing calls, offering prompt and effective solutions to minimize damage and disruption.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours spent on each job.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Plumber in household and office settings.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, safety standards, and best practices.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and plumbing diagrams.
- Expertise in using various plumbing tools and equipment (e.g., pipe wrenches, cutters, soldering torches, drain cleaning machines).
