Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular foot patrols of the shopping mall premises, including common areas, parking lots, and designated security zones, to deter criminal activity and ensure safety.
- Monitor surveillance cameras (CCTV) and alarm systems to identify and respond to suspicious activities or potential threats.
- Control access points, verifying credentials for authorized personnel and managing visitor entry and exit.
- Respond promptly and effectively to security alarms, disturbances, medical emergencies, and other incidents, escalating as necessary to senior security personnel or emergency services.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting shoppers and visitors with directions, information, and general inquiries, ensuring a positive experience.
- Enforce mall policies and procedures, politely addressing non-compliance and reporting violations.
- Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports, daily logs, and other documentation as required.
- Work collaboratively with mall management, retail store staff, and emergency services to maintain a secure and harmonious environment.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance security knowledge and skills.
- Conduct bag checks and other security screenings as required, adhering to strict protocols and respecting individual rights.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent (SSCE/GCE/NECO).
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
- Good physical fitness and ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and react effectively in high-pressure situations.
