Your work will involve cutting, fitting, installing, repairing, and replacing glass in various settings, including windows, doors, shopfronts, conservatories, balustrades, and interior fixtures. We handle everything from standard double-glazed units to specialist glass types such as toughened, laminated, acoustic, and decorative panels, often requiring precision measurement and custom fabrication on-site. Key Responsibilities

  • Cut, fit, install, and remove various types of glass and glazing materials in windows, doors, skylights, storefronts, and other structures.
  • Measure and mark dimensions and outlines on glass or mirrors, and cut glass to specified sizes and shapes.
  • Repair and replace broken or faulty glass panes and sealed units, ensuring proper sealing and insulation.
  • Install custom glass products such as shower enclosures, balustrades, splashbacks, and bespoke architectural glass.
  • Prepare surfaces for glass installation, including cleaning, sealing, and applying glazing compounds.
  • Work safely and efficiently, adhering to all company and industry health and safety regulations.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and glazing equipment with proficiency and care.
  • Interact professionally with clients, providing excellent customer service and clear communication regarding job progress and requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members on larger projects, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and client interactions.
  • Ensure job sites are kept clean and tidy, and all waste materials are disposed of correctly.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Glazier or in a similar skilled trade role.
  • Strong knowledge of various glass types and glazing techniques.
  • Proficiency in measuring, cutting, and installing glass accurately.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety procedures in a construction/trade environment.
  • Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Glazing or a related discipline.
  • CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
  • Experience with specialist glass installations (e.g., structural glazing, fire-rated glass).
  • First Aid certification.
  • Previous experience working independently and managing own workload.
