Are you a skilled and safety-conscious driver looking for a challenging opportunity within a leading organization? Nigerian Breweries PLC is seeking dedicated and professional Goods Transportation Drivers to join our dynamic logistics team in Ojota, Kosofe. This is a crucial full-time role responsible for the safe and timely delivery of our esteemed products from our distribution centers to various sales points and customers across assigned routes. As a Company Fleet Driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficiency of our supply chain, maintaining the integrity of our goods, and representing Nigerian Breweries with professionalism on the road. We are looking for individuals who are not just drivers, but responsible custodians of our brand, committed to upholding the highest standards of safety, compliance, and customer service. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate company-owned vehicles (trucks, vans, etc.) for the transportation of finished goods and raw materials to various destinations within Lagos and surrounding regions.
  • Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and local regulations at all times.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring they are in optimal working condition; report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly.
  • Ensure accurate loading, unloading, and securing of goods to prevent damage during transit.
  • Verify delivery documents, including invoices and waybills, ensuring correct product quantities and destinations.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with the logistics team, dispatchers, and customers regarding delivery schedules, potential delays, or issues.
  • Handle company assets, including vehicles and goods, with utmost care and responsibility.
  • Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, delivery logs, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Represent Nigerian Breweries PLC professionally, maintaining a positive image during interactions with clients and the public.
  • Assist with other logistics-related tasks as required.

Required Skills

  • Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class G/C or higher for commercial vehicles)
  • Minimum of 3 years of verifiable professional driving experience in goods transportation
  • Clean driving record with no history of major traffic violations or accidents
  • Proven knowledge of Lagos road networks and effective route planning
  • Strong adherence to safety protocols and defensive driving techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks
  • Physical fitness and ability to lift and carry heavy loads (up to 50kg) and work long hours
  • High level of integrity, reliability, and punctuality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Secondary School Certificate (SSCE/GCE/NECO)
  • Additional certifications in defensive driving or fleet management
  • Experience operating various types of commercial vehicles (e.g., rigid trucks, articulated vehicles)
  • Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and logistics software
  • Previous experience in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry
