Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver food orders to customers within the designated delivery area of Mokopane.
- Verify order accuracy before leaving the store and upon delivery to the customer.
- Handle cash and electronic payments accurately, providing correct change when necessary.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times, ensuring the safety of yourself and others.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanour with all customers, representing the Debonairs Pizza brand positively.
- Communicate effectively with store management and dispatch regarding delivery status, delays, or customer issues.
- Assist with in-store duties such as cleaning, food preparation, and order taking during non-peak delivery times, as required.
- Ensure the cleanliness and good operating condition of the delivery vehicle/motorcycle.
- Manage delivery times effectively to ensure hot and fresh food arrives promptly.
- Uphold high standards of hygiene and food safety.
Required Skills
- Valid motorcycle or driver's license with appropriate endorsement for South Africa (Code A or B).
- Proven safe driving record with no major violations.
- Excellent knowledge of Mokopane's streets and surrounding areas.
- Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable attitude.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a delivery rider in the food service industry.
- Familiarity with GPS devices and navigation applications.
- Own reliable motorcycle with valid registration and insurance (though company bikes may be provided).
- Ability to speak local languages common in Limpopo (e.g., Sepedi, Tsonga, Venda) in addition to English.
- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
