Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of all preventative maintenance programs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general building systems.
- Respond to and coordinate urgent and routine repair requests, ensuring timely and effective resolution to minimize downtime and disruption.
- Conduct regular inspections of the building infrastructure and equipment to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies, ensuring availability while optimizing costs.
- Develop and implement robust safety protocols and ensure all team members adhere strictly to safety regulations and company policies.
- Liaise with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs, installations, and services, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to service level agreements.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and generate reports on maintenance activities, expenditure, and equipment performance.
- Train new team members and provide ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance technical skills and service quality.
- Contribute to budget planning and management for the maintenance department, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance, with a significant portion in a supervisory or team leader role.
- Strong technical expertise in HVAC systems, electrical systems (low and high voltage), plumbing, and general building mechanics.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Proficiency in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
