We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Property Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team at Lifestyle Centre Ballito. You will be instrumental in executing a wide range of maintenance tasks, from routine inspections and preventative maintenance to addressing urgent repairs across various building systems and common areas. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural components.
- Conduct daily inspections of the property, identifying and rectifying potential hazards or maintenance issues promptly.
- Respond efficiently to maintenance requests and emergencies, troubleshooting and repairing systems and equipment.
- Execute minor carpentry, painting, plastering, and general building repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of supplies.
- Assist with the setup and dismantling of equipment for events or tenant requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with external contractors and service providers when specialized work is required.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment for tenants, staff, and visitors.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in commercial property maintenance or a similar role.
- Strong practical skills in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building repairs.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
- Proficiency in using various hand and power tools safely.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform duties that require lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
